In 2021, I discovered La Maison de Verre in Paris. Its open interior and iconic glass block façade inspired my early drawing of the salon wall and staircase.
Now, 3 years later, I’ve revisited it with two new prints: the façade by day and glowing at night.

'Ronald Shakespear was born in 1941 in Rosario, an industrial city about 6 hours from Buenos Aires, and was one of the youngest representatives of Argentinian commercial art. His early graphic work shows the influence of the Swiss graphic artist Armin Hoffmann, and the « Basel School. » It is, however, to the guidance of Romulo Macció and above all that of Juan Carlos Distéfano, two leading Argentinian graphic artists, that the still very young Shakespear owed decisive inspirations and valuable experience.'
