You go on a trip with friends, and there’s always a couple of people who would call you boring unless you are bungee jumping, skydiving, or chasing the next adrenaline rush.

I have tried most of those so called adventurous activities, mostly because of the people around me. But the truth is, I never really found them fun.

Episodes like the recent one in Brazil remind you of a simple truth: play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Maybe that makes me old fashioned. But I’d rather sit by the beach with my headphones on and a homemade sandwich in my hand looking at those waves. No thrill to prove, no risks to impress anyone.

That’s my kind of fun. And these days, I think that’s more than enough to keep me happy.
