@apple_kaur For me, it’s not the religion, but the concept of halal, being so cruel on the animal, stops me from eating any halal meat. And it’s a misnomer that halal was for religious reasons. But mix anything with religion, n ppl follow it, hence halal became a religious construct

@apple_kaur What I have heard is that he was a very simple man, and got used as a political pawn and when he understood it, he pushed back, and hence was made the villain as many people know him as now. I guess this is a simplification of the whole scenario, but sums it up

@apple_kaur I’m not sure. Most of the literature/commentary about him has been purged from public view. It’s easier for the govt(s) to make one person a villain than to explain their failings🤷🏻‍♂️

@apple_kaur The only reason why I love Sikhi (I am for all other practical parameters agnostic /atheist) is the three (or 2) tenants of Sikhi, Keerat karo, wand chhako and naam jappo(to a lesser level). Sharing is a way of life and have been taught this very young. Hope my kids follow it too
