Jasper Mayor Richard Ireland not pulling any punches about the devastation that has hit Jasper.

He also offers up much needed resource recommendations to help navigate this impossible time. #yeg #yyc #ableg

There are no words. Jasper is burned to the ground. 💔

[Corrie DiManno @banffmayor]

There are no words, only tears. Banff’s heart is broken watching the devastation in our sister community. We commend @JasperNP for the safe evacuation of residents and visitors and we continue to be in awe of the first responders. #Jasper, we love you and we are here for you 🤍

[Calgary Zoo @calgaryzoo]

It's been a difficult few days following the unexpected loss of polar bear, Baffin. Necropsy results show he drowned after a tracheal injury from rough play w/ Siku. He was in excellent health with no signs of heat stress. We continue to grieve his loss.💔 https://t.co/C5HIo5yNlE

Chatting with residents in Jasper over the phone…they say ashes are falling from the sky. Gas stations are backed up, many voluntarily leaving now. Main fire at transfer station near Snaring has apparently jumped highway, Only safe direction out of town is further west on Hwy 16 towards Valemount. That’s where most people are heading now. Still an evacuation alert.

[Alberta Emergency Alert @AB_EmergAlert]

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The Municipality of Jasper has issued a Wildfire alert.
This alert is in effect for everyone located in Jasper.

There is a wildfire south of town. An Evacuation Order has been issued for the Town of Jasper.

Everyone in Jasper must evacuate now. Use Highway 16 towards British Columbia. Follow directions from local authorities. Bring identification, important documents, medication, pets and your emergency kit with you. We will publish more information about assembly points soon. Check the Municipality of Jasper and Jasper National Park's Facebook page and website for more information.

Folks, I could t care less if Soucy gets a suspension or not. Honest.
But if you’re out there comparing a slash in the shin pads to a cross check in the teeth, you should put your phone down and go for a walk.

Translink buses no longer have "go #Canucks go" messages on them.

Instead? "Go team go."

I spoke to Translink to find out why. https://t.co/PdXoShCBCt

[Travis Healy @SuckItPhaneuf]

@SadClubCommish Imagine if the Canucks are in the finals and the busses say "Go team go!" embarrassing. So Vancouver.

[Bob Stauffer @Bob_Stauffer]

Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, RNH, Zach Hyman, Evander Kane, Evan Bouchard and Mattias Ekholm will NOT be in the lineup tonight according to @EdmontonOilers Head Coach Kris Knoblauch.
They have scored 68% of EDM’s goals this season (198/291).
