🚨 BREAKING NEWS: INDIA SMASHES INTO ULTRA-RUNNING HISTORY!
AMAR SINGH DEVANDA SHATTERS 7-HOUR BARRIER, WINS ASIA-OCEANIA 100KM ULTRA!
📍 Bangkok | November 23, 2025
India has a new “iron man” — and he doesn’t wear a suit of armour.
He wears running shoes, grit thicker than steel, and lungs forged in Rajasthan’s heat.
Amar Singh Devanda, a 33-year-old ultrarunner who once spent his days milking cows and doing farm labour, has torn apart history by becoming the first Indian EVER to run 100 km in under seven hours — clocking an unbelievable 6:59:37 at the Asia Oceania 100km Ultra Championship.
🔥 A RECORD FALLS. A NATION RISES.
Devanda didn’t just win.
He obliterated the national record (previous: 7:04:52), sprinted past Asia’s best, and dragged India straight to the podium’s top step.
His performance helped India clinch the Men’s Team Gold, with teammates:
•🥉 Saurav Kumar Ranjan — 3rd
•🥔 Geeno Antony — 4th
On the women’s side, India unleashed another storm:
•🥈 Tenzin Dolma — Silver
•🥉 Aarti Zanwar — Bronze
…securing Women’s Team Gold as well.
India didn’t just participate —
India dominated.
🏃♂️ FROM RURAL FIELDS TO WORLD PODIUMS
Just nine years ago, Amar Singh had:
•No sports background
•No coach
•No track
•No diet plan
•No facilities
He had only two things—
hard labour and harder resolve.
Years of farming, dairy work, and rural hardship accidentally built the perfect ultramarathon body. When others were lifting weights in gyms, he was lifting buckets of milk. When others practiced on synthetic tracks, he ran barefoot in fields.
Today, that same man stands at the top of Asian ultrarunning.
⏳ THE SUB-7 HOUR RUN: A FEAT NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE
Running 100 km in under 7 hours means:
•42 km marathon pace… extended for 2.5 marathons
•No collapse, no cramps, no mistakes
•Splits so fast even GPS watches pause to think
•Humidity so high even Bangkok air tapped out
And yet, Amar ran like a man possessed.
AFI President Adille Sumariwalla declared:
“A monumental effort. Amar has rewritten history.”
🌏 INDIA’S ULTRA-RUNNING REVOLUTION IS HERE
International ultrarunning has long been dominated by Japan, China, Australia, and Europe.
This week, India announced itself with a roar.
India’s team of 11 didn’t just compete —
they punched far above their infrastructure, funding, and support.
🎖️ THE LOGICAL INDIAN TAKEAWAY
Amar Singh Devanda is not just a runner.
He is a message.
A message that world-class champions can emerge from:
•Villages with no stadium
•Homes with no sports culture
•Lives with no privilege
With grit as their coach
and hardship as their training partner.
India’s sporting system didn’t discover Amar.
Hard life did.
India must now catch up to his talent.
🟡 BOTTOM LINE
🏆 India has a new ultrarunning superstar.
🏆 Records shattered.
🏆 Asia stunned.
🏆 And a 33-year-old from rural Rajasthan has shown that extraordinary doesn’t need facilities — only fire.

Amar Singh Devanda has smashed every barrier in his path, winning the Asia Oceania 100km Ultra Championship in Bangkok with a stunning National Record of 6:59:37.
He is now the first Indian to ever break the 7-hour mark in this brutal race. His journey into distance running began only in 2016, a quiet decision that changed everything.
He wasn’t a school athlete. His discipline was forged in the fields and dairy sheds back home — long days, hard labour, and an instinct for endurance that life had already trained into him.
From there, his rise was nothing short of explosive.
In 2024, he shook the ultramarathon world by winning the IAU Asia & Oceania 24-Hour Championship in Canberra, setting a national record of 272.537 km.
A true champion, isn't it?
