Hey @BBCNews just watching your evening news. It's all about Starmer resigning (obs). You asked for every politician's opinion (obvs) BUT @ZackPolanski or anyone from the @TheGreenParty
Pathetic. Can't say I'm surprised though...
About the fee you get from commercials:
Bullsh1t. The best paid adverts nowadays pay £18k max, if they want the rights for a year or 3. Commercials for world cups/football stuff only want the rights for 3 or 6 months, tops, and they usually pay up to £6k (absolute best scenario)
I’m sure this guy is a nice bloke but this all just seems so ridiculously out of touch.
I’ve seen him in at least two adverts, and can tell you from knowing people who have done adverts, any kind of protagonist role in a big advert is paying £10k-£100k EASY depending on the brand.
He’s been given FREE hotels for the whole tournament, astonishing.
He’s sold his “second house” to fund some of the tickets? (Would be willing to bet he’s been given some tickets for free and didn’t need a dime from that sale to afford it anyway).
Like I said, I bet he’s a nice guy and always get a chuckle when he’s on the screen at England games but the way it gets packaged like he’s going through some kind of struggle to get to the World Cup, like he’s making some huge sacrifices to be there. It just doesn’t sit right with me.

Sure, but why compare the two? Really? Being a refugee is a socio-political situation, it doesn't define who you are as a human. You're still so much more.
Being a racist thug does define you: you're a big piece of sh1t. That's it.
I mean... Iceland & Slovenia combined brought less than 1.5m viewers... So a drop of 35m it is actually huge. Viewers were down in the UK, Belgium, France... those countries didn't withdraw.
You can keep avoiding saying the obvious, but it'll catch up with you all eventually
Considering we lost broadcasters, more watched online, the songs weren’t stellar (especially from the bigger population nations), this isn’t so crazy.
We knew it would be a rough year.
Viewing share drop of 5% the most key stat. Of that 5% only a part will be boycott based.
@EurovisionTom@scrylsoc Th OG account that used to do this is a Spanish account that clearly joined the boycott. Hope nobody else copies what they used to do (to put it nicely)
@_allthingsadam_ If they have a shred of conscience, then no, to both questions. Creating content about the contest (reactions and yadayada) is nothing but helping the ebu pinkwash israhell. And the vast majority of them didn't bother going to press conferences to ask critical questions.
