Leonardo DiCaprio played one of the most endearing/memorable fathers I’ve seen in Cinema when he gave his performance in One Battle After Another. Bob Ferguson, for all intents and purposes, is a moron. He’s worthless. He basically contributes zero to the entire movement. But his purpose in life is his love for his daughter. That’s the driving force behind everything Leo’s character does in the back half of this film, all the way up to the final chase scene. It never fails to make me emotional. Leo is just so damn good in this film.
