The President of the United States said I insulted Jesus.
You want to know what insults Jesus?
Kicking the sick off their healthcare.
Bombing schoolchildren in Iran.
Deporting moms and babies.
Covering up the Epstein files.
Threatening allies while refusing to lower health care premiums and turning Midwestern cities into battle zones... Americans don't want this and don't have to accept it.
We must use the tool that has been working in more and more situations over the past year: intense political pressure, especially on elected Republicans, to change their behavior.
Meanwhile as a city we’re ripping up safety improvements (including federally grant funded $), costing taxpayer $ to remove them, while other TX cities are receiving millions $ for the very improvements we’re eliminating.
We’re wasting money and it’s killing Houstonians.
Your advocacy is working! Over 600 people have signed our petition - It’s time for METRO and the City of Houston to restore the Red Line to full working order! Sign & share our petition today & join us at the Oct. METRO board of directors meeting on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 9 am.
Disgusted at how @houmayor gets to pick and choose which Councilmember “represents” their community. And in cases where @houmayor disagrees, he finds a surrogate
they’ve destroyed Austin, they’re coming after Blodgett
Welcome to District D - The District of Destruction
Text messages from Mayor John Whitmire reveal he has strategically shaped the narrative around key road projects and bike lane removals across the city. https://t.co/MnXnKCanKP
Members of #txlege should know that anyone saying Harris County has agreed to $25m year on SB2722 has misinformation. We remain committed to good-faith negotiations for a data-driven reimbursement approach, but all members of Commissioners Court are still opposed.
@AustrianInHOU@houmayor@HouPublicWorks@BikeHouston Yahvi and Mihika spoke at City Council yesterday after waiting for over 3 hours. You can hear them speak at 3:47:10 under Public Speaker https://t.co/Wn6sbwfzfa
I have to tell my daughters that Austin Street Bikeway, their neighborhood bikeway connection to Buffalo Bayou and Herman Park, is being removed by @houmayor@HouPublicWorks and this administration is committed making the City less safer for the most vulnerable users @BikeHouston
@midtownHOU residents speak at @HoustonTX City Council in support of Austin Street Bikeway, proposed to connect @buffalobayou and @HermannPark - https://t.co/Sqfy1fYB39 - Time 18:30 @HoustonBikePlan
Last night, Commissioner Lesley Briones testified before the Texas House Transportation Committee in opposition to #HB5177.
“House Bill 5177 is a bailout—plain and simple. I empathize with the City of Houston’s challenges, and Harris County values our partnership with Houston. In fact, Harris County has stepped up time and again, investing millions in City infrastructure and public safety. But, I adamantly oppose any effort to take our County funds and redirect them elsewhere. This funding supports the over 2 million people who live in unincorporated Harris County, plus the residents of Houston and the 33 other cities in Harris County. We must stay focused on delivering critical transportation projects that keep our communities safe, connected, and prepared for the future."

This morning, I partnered with Council Member @AbbieKamin to host a community listening session on the 11th Street Safety Improvements. Over 100 neighbors showed up to share their voices. Meeting people where they are is how I intend to govern in District H — today and every day.
The other option for youth and parents/residents is to get engaged in their neighborhood and civic organizations and be the FORCE that shapes the City. @LINK_Houston@BikeHouston@NeighborHOU
As @HoustonTX removes (Austin & Heights) or does not build (Montrose & Antoine) protected spaces for youth and other residents to bike and roll; parents will now have to educated their kids to take the lane to safely get to destination like #MuseumDistrict#HermannPark
Thank you CM @AbbieKamin and CM @MarioforHouston for hosting the 11th Street public meeting for residents to provide input on the safety need in District C and H
Tomorrow! Join councilmembers @AbbieKamin and @MarioforHouston at the 11th Street Community Listening Session and learn why 40+ people came together, took time out of their days to host four tours with four councilmembers and tell them their lived experiences of 11th
@urbanreformorg I respect your perspectives in the discourse on how to run Houston, but your org has an obligation to be factually correct. If you can find some data that suggests my records query is incorrect, I’d like to see it. Otherwise, please stop spreading misinformation.
The City of @HoustonTX has suggested to @TXAG that information about the removal of Heights Boulevard bike lane armadillos “may be excepted from public disclosure.”
