Good to be with the @bellairedems this morning in the Bellaire Fourth of July parade and festival, and with @LesleyBrionesTX for the Precinct 4 celebration last night. Happy 250th birthday to our nation 🇺🇸
If your Fourth of July cookout feels more expensive this year, that’s because it is.
After decades of weak antitrust enforcement, the beef market lacks the competition it needs to keep prices down.
As AG, I’ll work to protect competition and ensure Texans get a fair deal.
Palestinian goalkeeper Salim Al-Ashqar has been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza.
He leaves behind his wife of 5 months who is expecting their first child.
We are proud to endorse Abdul El-Sayed to be Michigan’s next senator.
Abdul is building a winning coalition by putting forward an agenda that speaks directly to working people.
Election Day is August 4th. Head to https://t.co/5UvAnYHnru to get involved!
AOC has changed the trajectory of American politics and inspired a generation to believe that government really can work for working people. I am deeply honored to earn her endorsement for US Senate. Together, we’re proving that even in the face of unprecedented outside spending, a movement powered by the people can win. https://t.co/m0GGLWetTC
Scoop: Zohran Mamdani to deliver a "major" speech Friday marking America 250, hours before Trump gives his own commemorative address in S.D.

A well-earned win, @MannyRutinel! Raised by a single, immigrant mom, Manny Rutinel grew up on SNAP and Medicaid and knows firsthand the challenges working families face. From tackling housing costs to expanding rural health care, Manny has a proven record of delivering for Colorado families.
#CO08 knows Manny's story because it's their story, and this November, they'll send him to Congress to lower costs and fight for working families.
NEWS: 29-year-old Democratic Socialist Melat Kiros will defeat 15-term incumbent Rep. Diana DeGette in the Democratic primary for CO-01. Kiros, a first-time candidate and former attorney, dominated the Denver assembly and tapped into anti-incumbent sentiment. Kiros was born four months after DeGette first took office.
I wish Congressman Kean continued progress in his battle against depression. I come from a family with a history of depression and have seen my loved ones struggle.
I believe every person should have access to mental health support, including paid time off and sick leave.
Congressman Kean has opposed these very benefits for all workers that Members of Congress get. It’s time for that to change.
The court strikes down President Trump's executive order on birthright citizenship, holding that children born in the U.S. to parents unlawfully or temporarily present are “subject to the jurisdiction” of the U.S. and are citizens at birth.

I’m a former pro-Israel lobbyist and Senate staffer who has worked on legislation regarding Israel and Palestine for over 20 years.
@AOC’s proposal is one of most effective I’ve seen to actually hold Israel accountable under US and international law that it’s broken for decades.
Incredible energy at the state convention this weekend! Honored to stand on stage with oilfield expert Hawk Dunlap.
When a former Republican primary candidate crosses the aisle to support a 25-year mechanical engineer, it shows Texas is ready to choose competence over chaos. Infrastructure reliability doesn't have a party line. Let's put a technician on the RRC.
Soon, the House will vote on an amendment to block taxpayer funding to Israel’s military.
I will vote yes.
The Israeli government committed war crimes in Gaza and helped drag America into war with Iran. Americans should not be financing more weapons for Netanyahu.
I am aware that the amendment as written may cut off both military weapons (~$3.3 billion) and some diplomatic funding (~$50 million). While I would prefer to vote on an amendment that stripped just military funding, I think opposing the billions in military funding is what’s most important here.
Since last week’s NY primaries, the professional “opinion-haver” class has been working overtime. As usual, they’re missing the point.
Voters don't care about ideological labels. They care that you're willing to pick – and win! – righteous fights on their behalf. 🧵:
