St. Martin won its regional & had first-round bye in Class C tourney. Martins were no-hit iby Fergus Falls in 2nd round, but won 1-0 w/ run scored on wild pitch. Today, no-hit again -- by Watkins' Matt Geislinger -- and head home w/ .000 batting average for tournament.

Hard to feel bad for a team that bails on the third place game in the Jordan tourney after they didn’t make the championship. At least the Springers played out their schedule.

Special City Council meeting late this afternoon in New Ulm. Appears city officials are going to overrule New Ulm baseball ass’n & pull plug on State B/C tournaments scheduled to be held at 2 ballparks there (and in Springfield) starting Aug. 21 for 3 weekends.
