@raudssus@elonmusk My car broke down the exact same way 3k miles prior, inside warranty, and they "repaired" a faulty circuit board and said the battery was fine. So I think you're probably right.
@elonmusk At exactly 69,969 miles my 2014 Model S killed itself and Tesla wants 20k to fix it. Apparently you guys made disposable throw away cars that can't be repaired. 69k miles. Are you trolling me?
@wholemars@elonmusk Just curious is these will also have high voltage batteries that need to be thrown away when 1 cell fails? Maybe Gruber Motors can fix it like all the other Tesla's.
@elonmusk It’s perfectly acceptable to need a large car repair every 8-10 years. The cost of that repair can’t be 20k. It’s embarrassing that 1 cell failure takes out a Tesla battery and your service center points customers at Gruber motors to fix it.
The car died in Oct 2021 with 80 miles of range. Car shut power saying battery was dead. Tesla said it was a recalled part and fixed it, said battery is fine. 4k miles/11 months later it died with the same symptoms and I'm out of warranty. They tell me the whole battery is dead.
@elonmusk My 2014 60D Model S (70k miles) had low mileage (~140 miles) for years. Tesla always says "battery is fine" and fixes something else. Warranty expired in June. Car died yesterday (same way as before) and now they're telling my I need to spend 18k on a new battery. Help?
