If HE continues the way it is going, students like me from working-class/#firstgen backgrounds will not survive through UG. We cannot afford to. Students who could become future world changers will become disillusioned by how little the uni cares for them #ucuRISING
Sad news. We’ve received notice to vacate our premises at Bethnal Green by the end of this week. As a property guardianship, we’ve always been aware that we may be asked to leave with very short notice. We’re disappointed that it has come so soon.
Last year PM Boris Johnson took his entourage of 24 out for a banquet in New York. He paid £4445.07 & used the Foreign Office's credit card. Remember, you paid for this & 10 infant school children could have been fed for a year instead.

@JCHaeberlen To challenge the dominant narrative put forward by government or the media that the state is always in the right, that the population shouldn't have a say in politics, that change can only happen from above.
I have cleaned & enhanced this 175-year-old English photograph, which was taken on Kennington Common in south London on Monday 10th April 1848. It shows a Chartist meeting - the first movement driven by the working classes. The Daguerreotype was taken by William Edward Kilburn.
OUTSTANDING SPEECH
Mhairi Black delivered the most honest critique about this Tory government, in the last 12 years
She covers everything.
It will leave you speechless
This will definitely go down in history.

The Shah Jahan Mosque in Woking is Britain’s first purpose-built mosque. Established in 1889, it represents the cultural transfer that was taking place throughout the 19th century between Victorian England & the colonies
A thread on The Shah Jahan Mosque & Islam in Britain…
I’ve kept my mouth shut until now about the Queen and everything surrounding it, but I’ve just seen that stewards are giving out blankets to people in The Queue and I’m appalled. Where is this care and concern for the thousands of homeless people sleeping on those same streets?
Excl: A London property firm owned by the family of Tory minister Lord Benyon offered to send tenants a list of local food banks after raising rents in Hackney by almost £1,000 a year
