#Horrific In Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, a Dalit man named Kamashankar died due to police brutality.

According to his family, police took him from his village on July 8, assaulted him in custody and later abandoned him outside the village in critical condition.

His family rushed him to the hospital, but he died during treatment.

They also claim that when they were bringing his body home from BHU, police vehicles followed the ambulance throughout the journey.

He had a dream!

Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar was the architect of India’s constitution and can be considered as a saviour of almost the entire marginalised and minority communities of India.

He was a luminary par excellence.

To face that kind of oppression and still go on to achieve what he did speaks volumes of the resolve the person had.

He was forced to sit on floors because he was considered untouchable in school.

He wasn’t allowed to drink water from the same pots as other upper caste kids.

He fought against all odds and completed his higher education as the first ‘Untouchable’ student of his university.

The Gaekwad rules of Baroda were magnanimous is sponsoring is studies abroad that helped him complete his MA and PhD in economics from USA. He completed his M. Sc from London school of Economics.

He championed the causes of the downtrodden and marginalised in India and scripted a constitution that would safeguard their interests.

No amount of gratification can repay the debt owed to this man, this visionary, this superhuman from India.

Paying my deepest regards to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary.
