A stranger on the platform saw us—seven pregnant children being led away—and shouted 'Those are children!' Within seconds, thirty women formed a human chain blocking the train. They wouldn't move until police came. That human chain of strangers saved seven of us and led to forty-three more girls being rescued. TRUST BROKEN.

A 37-year-old youth softball coach in Magnolia, Texas just got arrested. Nathan Scott Velez allegedly spent weeks chatting online with who he thought was a 15-year-old girl. He asked for nudes, talked sex acts, and tried to set up a meet. It was a detective the whole time.

He coaches little girls in Montgomery County. He works as a lineman for a tech company. Now he faces a third-degree felony, two to ten years, and up to ten grand in fines.

Here is the honest cut: We hand our kids over to coaches, teachers, and mentors every season and pray they are safe. Then we see cases like this and realize too many predators hide right in plain sight in trusted roles.

Parents sign them up for softball to build confidence and stay active, not to worry about the man running practice. Law enforcement did their job with this sting. Good. But one arrest does not fix the bigger pattern.

We need real vetting, real consequences, and communities that stop looking the other way when something feels off.

This is the kind of case where the word "justice" feels hopelessly inadequate.

Calvin Crew, 25, sentenced to life without parole for the execution-style murder of Christina Spicuzza, a 38-year-old Uber driver and mother of four. He didn't even have the stones to show up for his own sentencing. The fiancé was right — pure cowardice.

The dashcam footage is what makes this one particularly gutting. She's begging for her life, he has a gun to her head, and the recording only stops when he notices the camera. Then he dumps her body. Two days later she's found with a gunshot wound to the head in the Pittsburgh area.

A few things that stand out:

•She was working. Just grinding, trying to make money driving for Uber — one of those gig jobs people take to keep things afloat — and she picks up the wrong passenger.

•Four kids now have no mother because some piece of garbage decided her life was worth less than whatever he was after.

•The cowardice of refusing to face the courtroom says everything. Could pull a trigger on a defenseless woman begging for her life, but can't sit in a room and hear what he did.

The fiancé's statement hits hard — "I was lost, out of control. She saw something in me." That's the kind of thing you only say about someone who genuinely pulled you out of the abyss. And now she's gone because some man with a gun decided she was an obstacle.

Life in prison is the floor, not the ceiling, for what this warrants.

Some WOMEN will never want children in their life in any meaningful capacity. They don't want to give birth. They don't want to adopt. They don't want to be the fun auntie. They don't want to be a godmother. They don't want to work in a field with children. They will never change a child's diaper and don't believe their lack of childcare skills is a problem that needs fixing, because childcare is not a crucial part of the human experience, with billions of people on the planet. They go about their day while only seeing kids out at the grocery store or at the park, and nothing is missing from their lives. The refusal to accept this is driving a global right-wing backlash movement.
