After 4 weeks and 2 trips to ITU, Arun finally gets to put his bee on the tree after being discharged from Amber B. Arun would like to thank everyone who looked after him at Queens, on both the Ambers and ITU. @micheleelliot10@BHR_hospitals@NicolaOsborn3
@sallyanne1991 @Scottheleen@nmcnews It’s not about not wanting you. It’s about protecting you to not be forced into something without support. The first 6 months under usual circumstances is hard enough, but also you may be ready (60% of you probably will be) but what about those who aren’t?
@sallyanne1991 @Scottheleen@nmcnews You are valued, however - the real learning starts when you qualify. You don't want your career ending before it starts.
@nmcnews A three year degree program or equivalent is there for a purpose to ensure professional nursing force - yes this is an unprecedented situation but nurses are not pairs of hands - by all means offer students care assistant roles but please don’t fast track registration
Dr. Jenny Vaughan - We are down 50,000 nurses in this country... & you need critical care nurses to staff the ventilators. "We will lose our colleagues... we will be burying our colleagues"

"We will lose our colleagues, we will be burying our colleagues."
Dr Jenny Vaughan from The Doctors' Association says NHS staff know they will lose colleagues - but "the medical front line is ready, willing and able to try and help deal with this pandemic".
In times like these it’s important to stay calm and collected but please be smart and protect yourself and your families. Be proactive and limit your exposure. Don’t downplay the “pandemic”. Always better to be safe than sorry. 🙏🏽 #COVD19#coronavirus
Admission packs for our patients. Let’s make our admissions as smooth and efficient as possible for our patients and staff 👏🏻🧡 @NicolaOsborn3@micheleelliot10
We get on very well as a team & we believe this shows on our ward by our staff being happy. Nothing feels as great as making a patients journey more bearable. From making them cups of tea, to chatting to them at 2 in the morning when they can’t sleep. We are here for it all 🧡
@AmberABHRUT@NicolaOsborn3 Please do, and to everyone else. Every patient I have spoken with says lovely things about the staff on Amber A. The same patient who said I looked fabulous even said it was the best place to be, broken bone or not.
I think she’s my favourite patient; can we keep her?
@AmberABHRUT And please extend a massive hug to nurse Noreen Fuller, who Bay 5 think the complete world of. She has really lifted their spirits throughout all of their stays and she is a real credit to @BHR_hospitals 💙
“Firstly, before you start I just want to say I know @BHR_hospitals gets a lot of flack & people are always whinging. But not everything’s perfect & the staff here are wonderful. Secondly, you look fabulous; where are those shoes from?”
Winner of my fav R2G audit goes to Amber A
