@Beetle_Guy As I understand it, in order to be preserved and turned into amber, resin usually needs to be near a body of water so that it has the opportunity to be covered in sediment that will preserve it. Guessing the aquatic inclusions resulted from resin dropping on them underwater. :)

Unusually, this one is not for sale. A genuine mosquito in Dominican amber is so iconic and rare that I decided I had to keep this one for myself! I still have a specimen in Mexican amber for sale on my ebay shop however, I won't be hogging all the mozzies I come across!
