Uki: Mom, what happens when you mix grey with yellow? Me: well, that color is sort of hard to describe.. Hmm... Uki: probably the color of a dead goblin’s tooth I bet.

I was talking to Uki about how I thought it was neat that he was thinking about all the details of this idea he had, and he said, “Mom, I HAVE to think about all the details if I want to create something!” After my own heart, this child.

Garrett asked Uki to describe me in three words, and he said: cuddly, cute, and kind, and I love her. And then we asked him to describe Garrett and he said: just stinky. You are just totally stinky, whatever you do it stinks. I love his humor. Hahahahahahah

Uki: so Mom and Dad, If we were gonna be a forest band, we’d have to go somewhere without woodpeckers, because the drummer would lose the beat.

Uki (4.5 years old) is learning about Chinese New Year at school & told me a custom is to set off fireworks to send away evil spirits. He then promptly said: “when Trump dies, we should send away his evil spirit by setting off fireworks.” Woah.

Uki, looking at the Egypt page of a Where’s Waldo book and he says, “It’s gonna be harder than a camel’s hump to find Waldo on this page.”

Upon arriving at our neighborhood coffee shop that serves waffles with toppings on the weekends, Uki said: Mom, I want all the decorations on my waffle, especially the chocolate chips. 😂❤️

Uki was learning about what a “nice gesture” is and then once he understood he said: “well Donald Trump isn’t doing any of that” - Uki, 4 years old

We’re listening to The Beatles, and Uki said: Sometimes boys at my school just aren’t nice to girls, so I go up to them and sing “you’re gonna lose that girl...”
