If anyone has stepped outside, you can literally feel it in the air. It is JUICED.

Here in Greeley, it’s 65° with a 64° dew point and we’re socked in clouds. It’s eerie.

It gets worse on the eastern plains. It’s 73° in Sterling with a 72° dew point!

When we get storms in Colorado with 50° dew points, that’s a good day. If we get storms with dew points in the 60s, that’s rare but not unheard of.

70s? Are you kidding me? These are dew points you’d see in the Midwest, and southern plains. Not Colorado high desert 😆💦

Now, with all of that being said, the forecast models have gotten their act together and seem to all agree on a similar solution, and you’re gonna wanna find your damn helmet and put on the damn helmet.

After about 3pm or so, you’re going to see thunderstorms erupt across the east side of the continental divide, SE Wyoming, the Nebraska panhandle, and northern Colorado as a cold front approaches from the north and east.

All modes of severe weather are possible.

As the front continues to sag southward through the late afternoon and evening, additonal storms are expected to fire in the Denver metro, along the Palmer Divide, and getting south into El Paso, Lincoln, and Elbert County.

With incredible amounts of instability in place and continued upslope with the cold front, storms may last well into the night.
