Somebody, somewhere in NYC for whatever reason recorded the New York 1 morning news broadcast on Sept. 11, 2001.
They wound up recording history. It starts at 8:30 a.m. ET.
You get 15 minutes of news from the Before Times.
Then the world changes.

My 7-year-old daughter heard me say that Dolly Parton died, and got visibly very sad. I was surprised she even knew that name.
“You know Dolly Parton?”
In the sweetest timid voice, she replied:
“Well, I don’t _know_ know her. But she sent me books.”
🥹😢😭
Fun fact about Dolly Parton: She earned well over a billion dollars in her lifetime but was never a billionaire due to her extensive philanthropy. She consistently gave away massive portions of her wealth throughout her life.
Dolly funded the Imagination Library, sent musical instruments and uniforms to band departments in schools throughout the South, helped fund COVID vaccine research, and donated millions to natural disasters.
She was a constant LGBT supporter, and she believed that black lives mattered. She supported the trans population. She just loved everyone and she made sure we knew it.
She was a Christian. Instead of using her Christianity to judge, she used it as Jesus did, to love her neighbor. She didn’t hoard her money; she used it to help people wherever and whenever she could. That’s why there’s such an outpouring of love.
Be like Dolly.
My sister in law works as a paramedic. 24 hour shifts sometimes back to back.
Makes $19 an hour.
Told me last week she watched a coworker get physically assaulted by a patient’s family member and still had to finish the call before getting checked out herself.
Meanwhile a hospital administrator two floors up makes $310,000 a year and has never touched a patient.
We pay the people saving lives less than we pay the people managing the spreadsheet about the people saving lives.
My cousin bought a $320,000 house in 2019. Mortgage was $1,400 a month. Life was simple.
Fast forward to this week. He hasn't missed a single payment, hasn't refinanced, and hasn't added a single square foot to the property.
His monthly payment just jumped to $2,100.
Why?
Because local property tax assessments skyrocketed 40%, and his homeowner's insurance premium doubled after two regional storms hit the state….even though his own house suffered zero damage.
The bank sent a letter saying his escrow account had a $4,800 shortage, and they increased his monthly bill by $700 overnight to cover it.
They tell you a fixed-rate mortgage locks in your housing costs for 30 years.
What they don't tell you:
The principal and interest are fixed, but the property taxes and insurance aren't.
You never truly own your home…..you're just renting it from the city and insurance companies at a rate they can hike whenever they want.
Jesus died at 33. The human spine has 33 vertebrae. The same structure that holds us up is the same number of years He held this Earth.
We have 12 ribs on each side. 12 disciples. 12 tribes of Israel. God built His design into our bones. He wrote Heaven into our anatomy.
The vagus nerve runs from your brain to your heart and gut. It calms storms inside the body. It looks just like a cross. That’s the power source running through us. Every time your body heals, every time your heart slows in prayer, every time peace shows up when it shouldn’t…that’s Him.
Jesus rose on the third day. Science tells us that when you fast for 3 days, your body starts regenerating. Old cells die. New ones are born. Healing begins. Your body literally resurrects itself. That’s not coincidence. That’s design.
And it keeps going.
Your heart has an electrical rhythm. Your brain lights up when you pray. Tears contain different chemicals depending on if you're crying from joy or grief. The blood speaks. The bones store memory. The body worships whether you realize it or not.
We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are walking prophecy. Walking tabernacles. Dust and divinity in one.
God didn’t just create you. He carved Himself into you.
You don’t need to look far to find Him. You just need to look inward. He’s been in the design since the beginning.
Extreme, dangerous heat continues today, Monday, July 20, from the Northern Plains down to the Lower Mississippi Valley. Heat indices are forecast to reach 110-115°F. Please take frequent breaks and stay hydrated if you must be outdoors.
For the record, Karmelo Anthony does NOT have an all white jury. Please stop spreading false information. I have been following this case since the very beginning. I was in the courtroom. I’ve seen his jury face to face.
To my Black Folks,
Karmelo Anthony is guilty of Murder.
The system is not being unjust towards him in any way.
This is not Allen Brooks.
This is not George Stinney.
This is not Emmitt Till.
This is not Walter McMillian.
This is not Trayvon Martin.
Karmelo Anthony has been found guilty of the murder of Austin Metcalf.
Yes, I support this. Yes, I’m black. Yes, I don’t care that Karmelo is black.
I want all murderers off the street, no matter the color of their skin.
Love Beyond Color
If there are riots, no, I will not be participating in them.
Signed a black man that is happy that Karmelo Anthony was found guilty of murdering Austin Metcalf.
Love Beyond Color
And there it is, folks. That is the correct verdict. Plain and simple. Cry all you want. Riot all you want. Doesn't change the fact that Karmelo Anthony intentionally murdered Austin Metcalf. Couldn't control his emotions or actions. Huge issue in the black community that must be addressed unless you want to see more of this. Lack of parental guidance and personal accountability has very severe consequences.
He was bold enough to stab a kid in the chest—killing him.
But he wasn’t man enough to look at the images of his victim’s body during trial.
Anyone with a son or a brother should be thankful he was convicted of murder.
That could’ve been someone you loved.
