Some residency programs and specialities do not participate in the Match like military, ophtho, etc. Your graphs seem to best reflect the ease of virtual interviews increasing multi-apps.

@diagnosketch That’s a very good idea! I have a fair number of homeless and illiterate patients and always tell them to take photos of the labels with their smart phone. Even most of my homeless patients now have a smart phone.

“Pt is asymptomatic except..” means symptomatic. List the sx then make a ddx (at least 5) even if you think it’s insignificant or you know what it is. Then rule out the immediately life threatening ones w/ exam, and tests if needed. That is why they came to you. #MedTwitter

@DThackerMD performed an I&D on Little Kid’s knee yesterday (I was 1st assist). Big Kid heard him freaking out, came to his rescue - scooped him up and took him away. Tonight LK said, “I didn’t like that treatment except that it attracted Brother… that’s the only part I liked.”

@pricetedwards I usually ask them for their medical license number and name so I can document in the patient’s chart that we are substituting their clinical judgment for mine. It works more often than not.

@_H_H_I @KK_medicine And a hospital still has to want to fund them. They are profit driven. I’ve had to make the financial proposal for residents for our service line and it’s a hard sell.
