Came across this enormous 9 ft 7 in human-headed liṅga at the Lahore Museum today. It was unlabeled, so I dug into the provenance and found it in R. C. Swynnerton’s Romantic Tales from the Panjab (1903).

Originally found buried near Jhelum, where Punjabi folklore ...
