@_elmerguevara Are you confident that the government will move in a direction that defends privacy instead of invading it? The recent move to ban TikTok and other applications from foreign adversaries seems to give the government way more access to private device usage than they had before
@KhaiPhi3 Do you feel like issues related to stability and speculation with respect to cryptocurrencies as well as issues of scale and bandwidth will soon be resolved? Do you know anything about plans to address these issues?
@ajwilson702 What exactly do you mean by medicine therapies? Do you mean a combination of existing over the counter medicines? Or do you mean specifically designing prescriptions that can be signed off by a doctor?
My prediction for the future related to digital technology is that the capacity, quality, and financial landscape of the entertainment industry will look completely different as AI technology becomes more relevant in artistic fields #DigiTechS23A
@divija_bhatt Hi Divija! I wonder what your background with cloud computing is and whether my experience with it as a software engineer would be valuable to you? Please let me know if I can help!
@simrandhami99 I'm super interested in the impact these technologies are having on healthcare and medical science! Years ago I caught wind of this incredible project (https://t.co/cF4R2nlT36) where a software engineer used machine learning to create an "artificial pancreas" for his daughter.
@JHElmasry Hi Jenna! This is something I've always been curious about and I'm excited that someone has chosen to explore it for their project. Good luck :)
For my EDTP project I'm going to be writing about Blockchain technology, something I have a relatively critical opinion of despite having spent a year working in the field full-time. I'm looking forward to exploring its social impacts alongside its major costs #DigiTechS23A
@janikadc@ank10324 I agree! It's pretty scary how with the rise of filters and image editing, it's possible to create beauty standards that are literally only achievable through digital alteration
@Sarah_Cullenn I feel strongly that this has been a good thing, as I've mentioned on the discussion board in the past that it was a huge help in making my first year of college (the COVID year) less socially isolating.
@christineyyang7 Yep, and it's kind of concerning that in the realm of news and media, if enough different people say the same thing, we tend to assume it's true! It's even easier for a falsification to spread and be repeated by numerous individuals on social media which is frustrating
A social norm that has changed in the modern digital age is that when socializing with new people, it's become less and less common to ask for their phone number to stay in touch. Instead, we tend to ask for their socials.
