Former Dragon Age writer David Gaider says AI could make game development “frustrating as hell” because developers may end up spending more time fixing AI-generated work.
He also worries about the future of the industry, asking, “How are we going to train up the next generation of devs if we eliminate every entry-level task?”
According to Gaider, new developers need those early jobs to learn and build experience, and removing them could create problems for the industry in the long run.
I have to admit something terrible: even though Pentiment is a game that seems tailor-made for me, I hadn’t really played it until now because, at first glance, it seemed a bit too “artsy” to me. It wasn’t until yesterday that I decided to fix that, and I have to say it’s absolutely brilliant and enchanting, and its style works wonderfully. What I enjoyed most, though, is that it’s exactly my style of design—it’s as nonlinear as possible, requires you to make irreversible decisions with far-reaching consequences, and forces you to really think carefully about what you’re going to do. In fact, Pentiment could have been made as a visually hyper-realistic first-person adventure game, like a quest line in KCD, but does that really matter? BTW, in the screenshots you can see a debate among monks who are hand-copying and illuminating books in the times of the advent of printing. Any resemblance to current advent of AI is purely coincidental :) Great job @jesawyer!
I'm glad the internet is being totally chill about playing as a woman in God of War, someone they can't relate to.
Which is odd because Kratos, a god with muscles and the ability to speak to women, is also something they can't relate to.

Fun fact, before I landed the role of Asher Forrester, I was recalled to play the role of Tyrion Lannister.
I lost out on the role in the end…
to Peter Dinklage.
