Subject combination criteria in Recruitment of TGTs is an unnecessary move.
Physics is a common and compulsory subject either for medical or engineering, but candidates with Physics Honours are not eligible for TGT! Seems illogical!
Reconsider and remove combination criteria.

Hon'ble Union Minister for Education, Skill development and Entrepreneurship Shri @dpradhanbjp today chaired the 1st High-Powered Committee Meeting of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) Division of the Ministry of Education in Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. Officials from the Ministry of Education, eminent scholars, scientists and Heads of institutions including the NCERT, UGC, AICTE and others from across the country attended the meeting.

The Minister commended the progress achieved in the last two years.
Many important deliberations were held to discuss the future plans for expanding the activities of the IKS division and strengthening synergistic collaborations across the country.

They also called for greater integration between the activities of the IKS Division and the NCERT, UGC and AICTE to implement the recommendations of the NEP 2020, especially about the ‘rootedness in India’.

Shri Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized that the Indian Knowledge Systems are not about reliving the past or going back in time but about deploying the wisdom of the ages to solve challenges of the future in an aspiring India.
