Purely personal diary: This day in 1989……..having a quiet cup of tea this afternoon when five of these noisy things dropped on us without warning, which was hardly cricket, even though we were actually watching cricket at the time. It was the first working day for our new ATO too……who knew? 😂😂😂👍💣

Private diary for 4th June………..
1989……….went for a long walk (armed), met 42 RM Cdo (nice bunch), watched Hit Man and Her in the evening……..(cult show)

1998……….up at 0430 (too early, even for South Africa)……..important visit……..had to break up an unpleasant argument (people who should know better)…….visited British High Commission in the evening……..met a good friend in the Mess……I think the drinks were called Snappers? They worked!
