@Charcharo Graphics obviously peaked over 8 years ago. This can be objectively observed in games but also in hardware.
GPU bandwidth has nearly stagnated over that time which stagnates geometry and texture detail.
Expensive RTX and AI inflate GPU cost and tank perf.
This one goes out to all the mouth-breathers who defended the worst gimmick in gaming history (RTX raytracing) and helped Nvidia destroy GPU pricing for nearly 8 years and counting.
All who used RT to justify Nvidia price premiums was part of the problem. (Including you Steve)
$AMD shareholders after $MSFT $META said they can't stop buying @AMD chips and have much higher margin on Inference due to Superior TCO,TDP and $/M Tokens
This game is 15 years old.
> No ray-tracing
> No AI upscaling
> No frame-gen
> Takes only 20gb
> Developed in just 3 yrs
GTX 580 ran BF3 on Ultra with 1.5gb VRAM
Now you drop $1200 on a GPU and can barely hold 60 FPS in modern games without DLSS
Why did we go backwards?
@GamerMeld@harukaze5719 For HPC workloads that can be cache optimized like AI model engineering or advanced light transport modeling/rendering, etc this is a solid alternative to paying thousands of dollars more for the cache per die on a Zen4 pro CPU
$AMD at ATHs
I’ve been pounding the table on this one for a long time
Now it feels easy to hold, but when it was at $70, many people told me it was going straight to $30
Overcoming sentiment is the hardest part of being an investor
$AMD announced a multi-year collaboration with the French government to support France’s national AI strategy
The goal is to expand local AI innovation, improve access to advanced compute, and strengthen France’s position in the global AI ecosystem
AMD plans to provide hardware, software, and training to French researchers, educators, developers, and AI startups through the AMD University Program, AMD AI Developer Program, and AMD AI Academy
AMD will deepen its work with GENCI, the Jules Verne Consortium, and CEA on Alice Recoque, expected to become France’s first exascale supercomputer powered by AMD
A planned Center of Excellence will provide expertise, training, and ecosystem support, helping France better use that system and develop its broader AI Factory France ecosystem
@Pirat_Nation No one should save Nvidia. Nvidia has been desperately hiding their irrelevance for years and finally now as the smoke clears on the AI hype they are clawing for new reason to be relevant. It's better for PC consumer prices to let Nvidia shrink into obscurity.
The world’s first dual 3D V-Cache™ technology desktop processor.
AMD Ryzen™ 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition processor

Workstation-class performance meets the AM5 platform, no new motherboard or memory required.
Built for developers and content creators tackling complex workloads and massive datasets.
💥 We pushed the limits of desktop performance with X3D. Then we pushed them further.
I’ve been testing the new unreleased Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition in the lab firsthand and it is incredible.
The world’s first desktop CPU with dual @AMD 3D V-Cache delivers 208MB of total on-chip cache, the most we’ve ever built into a Ryzen processor. That’s several times more than most high-end CPUs had just a few years ago.
Whether you’re building unreal game worlds or tackling massive content pipelines, this 16-core Zen 5 beast gives you responsiveness and power like never before, all on a consumer AM5 platform.
Coming soon: Available starting April 22nd
No compromises. No limits. Games. Creation. AI. Unlocked. 🚀
Nintendo cuts Switch 2 production by over 30% due to weak US sales.
The company now plans to make 4 million units this quarter instead of 6 million, with reductions continuing into April.
