African leaders have committed to producing at least 60% of the continent’s health products locally by 2040 and to fully operationalise the African Pooled Procurement Mechanism (APPM).

This marks the launchpad for an Extraordinary Summit on Local Manufacturing in Nairobi, 2026, to be chaired by H.E. President @WilliamsRuto, @_AfricanUnion Champion on Local Manufacturing — a decisive step from ambition to action.

@tinde_254 @BBCWorld Stop that kind of thinking. Just because they may have made an error of judgement doesn’t mean they should be abandoned by their own and human rights should not be respected. Humans are not objects!

@jamesonen @NoorBank_Kp @AAgather The road to self destruction is like that. Uganda did not put in place great structural pillars to manage leadership failures and systematic conditioning. No winners and losers in this current space. When so many complaints are coming up, just know they won’t just disappear.
