There seems to be a consensus that increasing school budget will help reduce inequitable education. While I believe this to be true there needs to be a plan. Texas seems to care more about the ascetics of their school buildings then the class content. #3310TXST

@brioliviertxst Policy makers would rather keep the system as is. multiculturalism philosophies create hands on activities for students. This usually means the schools will have to provide better materials. They would need more funding. We need to show them children are worth the cost. #3310TXST

@DiaynaraP I totally agree with you. I think schools are changing to more multiculturalism philosophies in the classroom. However, schools are not changing fast enough into the 21st century. It is our job as teachers to help our schools move away from essentialism philosophies. #3310TXST

Students go through social issues everyday. It is important to acknowledge these issues and discuss ways to help eliminate these problems. By giving them a voice they will take a more active role in their education. #3310TXST

Incorporating students into the lesson plans help engage them. This leads to them coming up with more questions, and be excited to learn the material. I plan to use various aspects of progressivism and social reconstructionism philosophies in my teaching. #3310TXST

Teachers have the right teach content material how they choose. However, it is more important all students get a standard education then teachers choosing the content. I think teachers should get together as a group to agree on content material across the U.S. #3310TXST

Students should not have to fear for their safety at school. Corporal punishment of any kind is cruel and unusual when it comes to children. School officials should not have the right to paddle a child. Ingrahm v. Wright is outdated and should be reversed. #3310TXST #educhat
