If you don't appreciate what teachers are doing, besides online/f2f/combo teaching, along with twice the planning and workload, just remember that over 20% of teachers work 2 or more jobs just to make ends meet. In most places they can't now, which is a whole new level of stress!

26 million people work from home at least part time and we think it’s being savvy. 3 million Teachers have to do it during a pandemic and people want their pay cut since they think they’re not working. Teachers sure do put up with a lot of crap just to educate our youth.

I would love to see school districts require all leaders substitute one day a month or at least cover a class or lunch duty to give teachers a well deserved break and for them to remember what it’s like to be back in the classroom.

@LPPSGrants after a colleague attended the LPPS grant workshop last May, she shared information about a grant through the Ayn Rand Institute. I applied for the grant, and I’m proud to report that a class set of Ayn Rand novels were delivered to Springfield High School yesterday!

I went to our bookroom to see how many copies of Othello we have only to find No Fear Shakespeare versions. DO NOT use these with your classes. Be brave, immerse your students in the language, and let the language do its work - with ANY and EVERY level of student! @FolgerED
