@drjonty Shadow Of A Doubt, for Hitch's masterful blend of Thornton Wilder's beautifully observed small town Americana with young Charley's growing unease and discovery of the dark truth....
@drjonty And given it is having a limited cinema release vying with being streamed on HBO it's highly likely it won't make back what it cost so Part 2 will never happen.
Sick and shocked to learn my kind, witty, absolutely brilliant friend Kevin Jackson has died. A wonderful writer, even better company, our very dear Moose.
Well I'm not dead yet. But I am on BBC Radio 4's obituary programme Last Word, Friday at 4, Sunday at 8.30 pm, talking about the late great Christopher Plummer.
If I might be frivolous...Gaga won the Inauguration. On a scale of 1 to 10 the dress was a 20. And she sang the anthem well. And no one got killed, so a win all round.
@jonnyrmcfarlane Haha! Totally forgotten this...Haven't seen it for ages but I'm thinking I'd now put it above Josey Wales. Now to go watch both again.....xx
@feelinglistless I have always hated star ratings! My personal inclination has been to err on the generous side but some editors take a cautious approach. I think reviews should speak for themselves, not a star rating that may well have been decreed by someone who didn't even see the film.
