🚨 Turnaround Investing Screen 🚨
Inspired from The ACE Investor Ashish Chug Turnaround Framework
Companies making losses but Cash From Operation are positive.
Some of the biggest multibaggers are born when companies move from losses to profits.
My turnaround screen looks for businesses that have:
📉 A history of losses or weak profitability
💰 Consistently positive operating cash flows
📈 Improving sales momentum
🏦 Healthy balance sheet with manageable debt
📊 Rising ROE compared to their own historical average
👥 Declining number of shareholders (weak hands exiting)
🚫 Excludes SMEs to focus on more established businesses
The screen specifically captures companies where:
📉 Profits are under pressure...
💰 But cash flows remain positive...
📈 Sales growth is improving...
🏗️ And the balance sheet is still healthy.
These are often the companies that the market ignores—until earnings recover and re-rating begins. That's where the biggest re-rating opportunities are created.
Remember:
"Profits tell you where the company has been. Cash flows tell you whether the business is still alive."
Turnarounds require patience, but identifying them before the crowd can be highly rewarding.
A stock screener won't find multibaggers on its own—but it can dramatically reduce your research universe and help you spot potential turnarounds before they become obvious.
Always combine quantitative screening with deep research into the business, management quality, industry cycle, and turnaround triggers.
