The important thing to remember here is that men are often afforded a level of respect and authority without any credentials at all, whereas women often have to fight for respect even WITH credentials.

@Clagboy91 @Anime_Now90 @jrpsaki @TDucklo Again, it has been shorthand for the doctorate awarded in medicine for a long time, but the root of the word is in academia. Maybe you shouldn't look down on teachers so much, you clearly need one.

If I need expertise on education, I consider her degree far superior to someone w a degree in physics who knows fairly little about learning styles or child development.
