The Story of the Bible: One Plan in Christ
Many Christians know the stories of the Bible but struggle to see the Story of the Bible.
We know about Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, the prophets, Jesus, Paul, and Revelation. Yet these can easily become disconnected episodes instead of one unfolding drama.
The Bible, however, tells one story because it reveals one God carrying out one eternal purpose through one Redeemer.
If we miss that story, we may know many biblical facts while missing the direction in which the entire Bible is moving.
A Good Beginning - Genesis 1,2.
Creation is not merely where history starts.
It reveals God's intention.
God created a good world, made humanity in His image, entrusted them with His creation, and dwelt with them.
The Bible therefore begins not with humanity searching for God but with God delighting to dwell with humanity.
Everything Changed - Genesis 3
Sin is far more than breaking a rule.
The serpent first questioned God's word before humanity rejected it.
At the heart of the Fall was the refusal to trust God's definition of reality.
Humanity chose autonomy over fellowship.
The consequences spread everywhere:
death,
shame,
alienation,
fractured relationships,
cursed creation,
exile from God's presence.
Genesis 3 explains why our world is simultaneously beautiful and broken.
God Refused to Abandon His World - Genesis 12:1-3
The rest of Genesis shows sin multiplying.
Cain.
The Flood.
Babel.
Humanity does not recover itself.
Then God calls one man:
Abram.
The promise is astonishing.
God will bless Abram.
Make him into a nation.
And through him bless every family on earth.
At that moment the Bible's storyline changes.
From Genesis onward, redemption becomes the dominant theme.
Every Road Leads to Christ - Luke 24:44-47
Centuries later Jesus says something breathtaking.
Everything written in the Law.
Everything written in the Prophets.
Everything written in the Psalms.
Was ultimately speaking about Him.
The Bible is not a collection of disconnected predictions.
It is one unfolding testimony moving toward one person.
The Messiah must suffer.
The Messiah must rise.
Repentance and forgiveness must be proclaimed to all nations.
Only after His resurrection did the disciples finally understand how the whole Bible fit together.
The Church Lives Between Fulfillment and Consummation
Christ has accomplished redemption.
The gospel is now proclaimed to the nations.
Yet the world is still marked by death, suffering, injustice, and tears.
We live in the tension between Christ's finished work and God's finished renewal.
The story is not over.
The End Is Better Than the Beginning - Revelations 21:1-7
The Bible ends where it began—but greater.
Not another garden.
A new creation.
Not temporary fellowship.
Permanent dwelling.
Not merely innocence.
Perfect redemption.
Not simply life.
Life where death itself has disappeared forever.
God Himself wipes away every tear.
The curse is gone.
Death is gone.
Pain is gone.
Exile is gone.
The Bible ends with God dwelling with His people forever.
Why This Story Matters Today
The story of the Bible is not simply about how history began.
Nor merely about how history ends.
It tells us where we are now.
We live between promise fulfilled and promise completed.
That means suffering is real.
Death is real.
Tears are real.
But none of them have the final word.
The final word belongs to the One who sits on the throne and declares:
"Behold, I am making all things new."
Because the end of the story is certain, believers can remain faithful in the middle of the story.

Passion of The Christ🇻🇦🩸
“Mel Gibson warned actor Jim Caviezel that playing the character of Christ was going to be very difficult and that if he accepted, he most likely would be marginalized by Hollywood.
Caviezel asked for a day to think about it and his response to Mel who was funding and directing the movie was: "I think we have to make it, even if it is difficult." And something else, my initials are J.C., and I am 33 years old. "I didn't realize that until now."
Mel responded with “You're really scaring me you know.”
During filming, Jim Caviezel who plays the part of Jesus lost 45 pounds, he was struck by lightning, he was accidentally struck twice during the scourging scene leaving a deep 14-inch scar, he dislocated his shoulder when the cross was dropped into the hole with him on the cross. He then suffered pneumonia and hypothermia from being nearly naked with only a loin cloth on the cross for endless hours. The crucifixion scene alone took 5 weeks of the 2 months of shooting.
His body was so stressed and exhausted from playing the role that he had to undergo two open heart surgeries after the filming production.
Jim explained, “I didn’t want people to see me. I just want them to see Jesus. Conversions will happen through that.”
Almost like a clairvoyant prediction many amazing things happened.
Pedro Sarubbi, who played Barabbas, felt that it was not Caviezel who was looking at him, but Jesus Christ himself, as he played that role he said of Caviezel, “His eyes had no hatred or resentment towards me, only mercy and love."
Luca Lionello, the artist who played Judas, was an avowed atheist before shooting began. He eventually converted, and baptized his children.
One of the main technicians working on the film was a Muslim converted to Christianity.
Some producers said they saw actors dressed in white they didn’t recognize during one of the filming sessions, and when they reviewed the recordings they realized they couldn’t see them in that footage.
The Passion of the Christ is the highest grossing US religious as well as the highest R-rated film of all time, with $370.8 million! Worldwide, it grossed $611 million.
More importantly, it has reached 100’s of millions of people around the world.
Mel Gibson paid $30 million out of his own pocket for the production of the film because no studio would take on the project.
Today Jim Caviezel simply and boldly proclaims his faith in Christ, and the miracle it was for him to represent Christ as an actor and a greater believer of Christ because of this experience.
Couldn’t have put it better….. however, it shouldn’t just be people living abroad; I know people in the same state with their parents who haven’t seen them in donkey years
If you live abroad, abeg try dey go house. I'm tired of seeing people going home only for burial. Your parents are getting old. They won't always be here.
Create new memories, spend time with them, hug them. You don't want your last memory with them to be 10 years ago.

Did you know?
A group of penguins in the water is called a raft but on land they’re called a waddle. Many male penguins gift female penguins with rocks in order to woo them and the ladies use these rocks to build a nest. Penguin feet are also adapted to help the birds steer while swimming.
A gland near the base of its tail provides waterproof oil. Penguins spend several hours each day covering their feathers with this oil and give extra attention to the task before swimming
Good morning Mutuals 🌞😘
