@Destiny2Team Reinstalled Twitter on my phone just to post this...First of all, thank you. Thank you for the many memories of highlights I can look back on fondly during my time with D2. Even though I may have picked up the game late into its life cycle
There are so many fun memories I can relive here, but I will simply say I'll play the hell out of the last expansion and enjoy the final sendoff for Destiny 2
Hit the 1 year mark of daily driving Linux. The only times I've missed Windows is when something needs a firmware update and it's annoying/impossible to do through any sort of compatibility layers.
@norzaxxx AI art has progressed a lot and it's admittedly getting harder for me to tell. But machines can never replicate the human emotions put into the really great pieces I see. Having a unique art style also helps set you apart from AI
Males/Female character designs just match reality. Like the options for male clothing in shops sucks and is incredibly limited. You get 4 types of jeans and 12 types of T-shirt. And when they try to offer more options to men, its not new styles for men, it gets labelled 'nonbinary' styling. Which ends up either just being women's dresses or shapeless beige potato sacks. Feels like any man that steps out in anything other than jeans, shirt and trainers gets mocked for trying a different style or is considered overdressed. You have to travel overseas or go with expensive named brands just to find shops that supply different fashion.
if you guys have discord, pls opt out of this. discord's new terms of service do have a mandatory arbitration clause for the u.s. and canada, you have 30 days to opt out by emailing
There have always been haters in the community, but it seems to have gotten insane recently. Every stream I watch is filled with the same toxic comments. It has sadly escalated from complaining on Twitter to hatewatching streamers
Genuinely, and with all seriousness in every word I say:
My hiatus from the Destiny franchise has become entirely due to people ruining the fun and excitement of logging in and actually showing excitement to play. I never imagined it would happen, but it finally did after hearing daily:
“Game’s dead.”
“Why do you even play this?”
“F*** Bungie.”
“Just say you hate it.”
“Sponsored by Bungie.”
“Paid by Bungie.”
“You’re nobody in Destiny.”
The game’s content is actually great when you don’t have sh**lords on the internet telling you the game is bad and a vast amount of my love for the Destiny franchise was getting others as excited as I was. Loved logging in every day, but it finally got to a point where content was impossible because I had to question streaming daily whether the endless barrage of comments was worth it or going to continue as always.
Straight up, the community vibe is entirely the problem now and I feel so bad for the select vocal few ruining it entirely for large majority who still love to login and play.
I tried to be a more positive and constructive voice recognized in whatever community is left, but this is the most broken, in shambles, disconnected the Destiny community has ever been to date.
People really need to look into themselves, stop ruining the fun for others if they aren’t enjoying it, and just move onto other games if they have nothing good to say, but stop projecting your hatred onto others in order to sway them to feel the same way you do.
See y’all back in Destiny when it’s safe to do so again.
