The flight crew tried to get her name, but she turned and covered it so no one could see or get it. Hate having to post this on Christmas. But if this is how Delta operates, count me out.

@Delta it’s Christmas. I’m on flight DL3134, the gate agent forced us to check a carry on bag. We are now going to be late to family Christmas to go to baggage claim. Rudeness is our Flight leader took the tag off the bag and said keep it. Frustrating issues on Christmas.

How my family was treated… especially on Christmas is unacceptable. Flight leader came back and apologized for actions of gate agent. We will now be late to family Christmas because the agent feared for her job instead of using common sense.

Gate agent then boarded the plane, hunted me down and refused to let the flight leader overrule her because she will loose her job if she doesn’t meet “checked bag quota.” Holding up the plane and forcing a scene. The flights only 2/3rds full… plenty of space.
