"It's the same as using Google and books for reference!"
Then why not fucking use Google and Books for references as artist have done for decades? Using AI to assist with "generating ideas" is like tracing a picture and saying I drew it with my pen so it counts as mine.
Incredibly disappointed to read the news from Larian. There is no ethical way to use genAI. Even if you're using it as a foundation, your content is then based on stolen assets. And even if the dataset ISN'T stolen content, you cannot ignore the environmental & health impacts.
We absolutely don't have to accept AI just because "everyone else is using it". The industry is still experiencing mass layoffs, so many people are job hunting, the last thing we want to hear about is introducing AI into the workplace.
worth mentioning that its being delayed because they just fired 40 people in a union busting effort and now the staff is revolting
I hope the staff keeps it up

My time with Rockstar has unfortunately come to an end. Super sad to be leaving before seeing the project out the door, but it just wasn't a good fit for me anymore.
I'll be taking a lil break to spend time with family before looking for a new remote working opportunity π
