Mexico is proud to stand with Canada in times of need, just as friends and partners do. ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐จ๐ฆ. Our firefighters are highly trained, experienced, and courageous professionals. They have come not only to help combat these wildfires, but also to support the Canadian people.
This is what the CanadaโMexico partnership is about: solidarity, cooperation, and standing together when it matters most.

Lewis Hamilton's costly pit-lane penalty ๐๏ธ
The seven-time world champion was handed a five-second penalty for exceeding the pit-lane speed limit by just 0.1km/h, dropping him to fifth place.
Four months ago, Prime Minister Carney and His Highness the Aga Khan laid the foundation for a more ambitious partnership between Canada and the Ismaili Imamat. They set a shared agenda spanning housing, economic development, energy and investment in emerging markets โ priorities we are advancing together today.
Canada is home to one of the largest Ismaili communities in the world, whose contributions have strengthened our country for generations. Built on that foundation, Canada and the Ismaili Imamat are natural partners in advancing our shared values and shared mission. Together, we are working to strengthen climate resilience, expand opportunities for women and girls, and support sustainable development in communities around the world. That longstanding partnership now anchors the broader work ahead.
On behalf of the City of Vancouver, Mayor Sim also presented the special honour of a Civic Merit Medallion to Hazar Imam.
