Thousands of Houthi fighters have reportedly been killed across #Taiz, #Marib and western coast, among them dozens of commanders and elite members. A military commander says hundreds of bodies remain unrecovered.

The losses are described as the group’s heaviest since the 2021 Marib battles.

Despite this toll, Houthi leaders treat its fighters as expendable in pursuit of territory.

However, If losses continue at this rate while govt forces backed by airstrikes hold firm and retake territory, I doubt the Houthis can keep their offensives going indefinitely. Their positions could eventually collapse on many fronts.

First and foremost, by supporting a foreign terrorist organization, you are betraying the very country you call home.

Second, the argument that the Houthis are fighting Israel, the United States, or Saudi Arabia in Taiz is complete nonsense. There are no Israeli, American, or Saudi forces fighting the Houthis in Taiz. The people the Houthis are killing, besieging, and displacing are Arabs, Muslims, and their fellow Yemenis.

This war in Taiz has nothing to do with liberating Palestine, confronting America, or defending Yemen from foreign aggression. It is about power, territorial control, and wealth. The Houthis want to rule Yemen by force, and they are willing to kill their own people to achieve that goal.

This kind of misleading narrative and these blatant fallacies have helped prolong the crisis in Yemen.
