When they accuse us of being paid by the Hausa-Fulanis to be Muslims, I can't help but laugh 😅. Like how na 😄?

Wait a minute, do they think Islam just entered the East yesterday? Do they even know that our forefathers were Muslims? That religion Islam, has been in existence in the East for over a century. Ooh! You don't know?

The man here was my grandfather and this is not the first time I'm writing about him. He embraced Islam in the year 1949 (perhaps your grandfather wasn't even born then 😄). Before he became a Muslim, he was never a Christian. He was a pure pegan to begin with 😅.

Nobody paid him to be a Muslim. He embraced Islam out of his own will and his family joined him. Like how much would you even pay a king to abandon his own religion and follow yours? He was the community leader(Igwe) before and after he embraced Islam. He practiced Islam from 1949 till 1992 before going back to his Creator. He died a Muslim and was buried according to the Islamic rites.

Now calculate from 1949 to 2025 and know exactly how many years Islam has existed in my community. It's even shameful to see those who have passed through the four walls of a university classroom dwell in the illusion of Igbos being paid to be Muslims. Like how una dey reason sef 😄? It's shameful na my Igbo people stop it. Una dey embarrass us na 🙈.

There are communities in the East that have practiced Islam for a century and still counting.

Make una dey get small shame abeg 😄.

To my grandfather, the one who brought the light of Islam in my community, I love you dearly ❤️ His Royal Majesty 👑. As you brought the light of Islam in my community, I ask Allah (S W A) to lighten up your grave, save you from the torments of the grave and the torments of hellfire, forgive your shortcomings and make Jannatul Firdaus your final abode. Your legacy lives on grandpa and I ask Allah to unite us all together in Jannah on the last day 🤲🤲.
