Lakers big man history over the past decade NEEDS to be studied
Went from giving Timofey Mozgov $64M, to letting Brook Lopez walk for $3M, to trading Mo Wagner and Zubac for nothing. Refused to play Mo Bamba and Jay Huff, and then forced AD to play a position he hates after blowing up the Dwight/Javale duo
We also had our Marc Gasol, Andre Drummond, Montrezl Harrell, DeAndre Jordan experiments..
Mismanagement at its finest 🥲
Pros
- Roster is more balanced.
- Probably a top-5 center rotation in the NBA now
- Back court is retooled and more dynamic & athletic
- Shooting addressed
Concerns
- One of Adou or Carr needs to break out in the worst way on the wing
- No trade flexibility
so now you look at this roster and we are still in a deficit in forwards. unless you plan to start Luka as the Point Forward. so, either start the 2 promising forwards we drafted in the last 2 years to expedite their progress or trade the expendables.
I feel like I’m truly a last of a dying breed when it comes to my brand of being a Laker fan.
I’ve lived through an offseason Kobe demanded a trade, Deng and Mozgof signings, Shaq being traded, the nixed CP3 trade..
Some of yall need to act like you’ve been here before.
Let’s not bring up AD getting hurt against the suns.
Or Solomon hill taking out Brons knees
Or that trade that he asked the team to do that set us back about 4 years tho right?
