You wouldn’t know what this celebration in a middle class household is about.
Few years ago, it only meant one thing, the daughter of the house has qualified UPSC/NEET etc. Today this celebration is about the girl winning a Gold medal in Boxing.
It’s incredible that Neeraj Chopra after spending 10 active years in Javelin is still winning medals.
Fitness & Age is catching up. But still his consistency of throwing 85+ is unmatched around the world. One guy might have a good day and get a Gold. But Neeraj stays there on the podium with his consistency. Greatest Indian athlete ever.
Jinks, congratulations on a great career, buddy. You’ve done wonders for Indian cricket, and you can be very proud of your journey. The safest pair of hands in the slips and my favourite Test batting partner. Wishing you well always. God bless. 🤝🇮🇳
@ajinkyarahane88
An illustrious career comes to an end 🇮🇳

One of India's most committed cricketers who was an integral part of my tenure as coach and gave yeoman service to Mumbai and Indian cricket. Well done Jinks. @ajinkyarahane88
A team member asked me recently:
When you're earning a decent income, but almost all of it goes toward EMIs, education loans, home loans, or other financial commitments, it can feel like life is on pause.
Every month you're just waiting for the next EMI to get deducted, with little left to invest, travel, pursue your dreams, or simply enjoy life.
How do you stay motivated during a phase where you're working hard every day but don't feel like you're actually living?
How do you avoid feeling like your best years are slipping away while you're waiting for "one day" when things finally get better?
My honest straight answer:
If the debt is due to your own choices, then liquidate those choices.
The car, the house, the phone - all are chains!
Stop acting as the victim.
You have a choice.
Exercise it.
If the debt is not due to your choices, then earn and pay off the loan.
You have no choice.
Suck it up and work hard to pay it off.
I graduated from ISB at the age of 26 with a 14L loan and a 16L business debt that my father couldn't afford to pay.
My day 1 net-worth was minus 30L!
It took me 10 years to pay off the loan, make my networth zero and it was at the age of 36 that I started to build my own networth and live my dream.
Now at 46, I have all that I ever wished for!
Either way, don't whine or complain.
Makes the journey harder.
Accept it - and fix it!
It’s been a mad 15 years. It’s had everything thrown in there, from the highest highs to the lowest lows (on and off the field 😜).
My time was up, and no one was going to be able to make that decision other than me.
But in the meantime, I just want to say I ❤️ every single England fan and every single cricket fan who’s supported me over the years.
I ❤️ every single person I’ve walked out onto the field with representing England.
I could go on and on, but I hope you get the gist of how much I loved doing what I did for 15 years.
I’m looking forward to being a fan and supporting the team, and the odd day in hospitality won’t go amiss 🤣.
Family, friends, teammates, fans… I ❤️ yas all.

Only when I go home, I experience the joy of taking bath using a bucket & a mug instead of a shower. We do have a shower. But hear me out.
Shower is linear streaming. Predictable. You get numb to the flow, the temperature. You do your stuff & get out. Bucket & Mug teaches your body to do batch-processing of water.
Only when you use a mug to pour cold water over your head, that you feel the adrenaline of being waterboarded. That reflex of your body, when it feels it’s about to drown. That’s the fun.
There is also the fun of performing buoyancy experiments with the mug as you sit there, with the tap filling up the bucket. There is no guilt of wasting water, as you happily apply soap/shampoo as the water accumulates in the bucket.
Also the noise you create, which makes the entire neighborhood realise someone is taking bath and not a shower. Pls try it one of these days ;)
From an opponent to a friend over the years. It’s been a pleasure watching you bat and compete against you over so many years but more than that I value our friendship and shared perspectives on the game and beyond. I continue to cherish every time we speak or meet. Wishing you nothing but the best always brother. You’ve done your bit, you deserve to enjoy all of it now and put your feet up. Well done mate, life’s only just begun. ❤️ #KaneWilliamson
“To beard the lion in his den.”
The dictionary defines it as boldly confronting a powerful rival on their own turf.
For years, Norway Chess has been Magnus Carlsen’s den. His turf. His domain.
So I woke up to this news and my jaw dropped.
You didn’t just win a title, @rpraggnachess.
You walked into the lion’s den and emerged victorious
This title is important. Not because of the trophy, but because of your challenger spirit.
And that’s something all of us can learn from…
🇮🇳👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Pragg wins Norway Chess 2026. That’s like beating Australia in Australia with your hands tied behind your back & a blindfold. 4 classical wins in a row!
The silent storm that’s brewing in Jaiswal’s head. A young, super talented guy, achieved the pinnacle of Test batsmanship by opening the innings in Australia, is being outclassed here by an even younger guy. Like a star close to the sun. Like a 4 year old, sad about all the love the 2nd new born is getting. Tough!
Well done, Arjun. ❤️
Proud of the way you’ve carried yourself through this season, always believing in your ability, staying patient, working hard quietly, and remaining positive despite having to wait for your opportunity till the very last match.
Cricket tests patience as much as skill, and you handled both beautifully today.
Keep your feet on the ground, and continue being in love with the game like you always have.
Love you always.👏
