Dozens of bullets were fired by Hamas terrorists at the door of Tamar and Johnny’s safe room on October 7.
Even as they lay dying, Tamar and Johnny kept holding the door shut, trying to protect little Shahar, Arbel, and Omer until their final moments.
Tamar managed to send a text saying they had been shot and were critically wounded.
Then the terrorists set the house on fire.
Tamar, Johnny, Shahar, Arbel, and Omer all burned to death.
This is not a scene from a movie. This is October 7.
This is 4-year-old Negev and his six-month-old brother, Eshel.
The terrorists rocking Eshel in the stroller and holding Negev by the hand had just murdered their mother, Adi.
Negev later said:
"Bad people came into our house with drills and drilled through the whole house. They wanted to drill Eshel, but Mom wouldn’t let them. She told us to remember that she loved us more than anything in the world. And then she left."
The terrorists placed grenades around Adi’s body and left her as bait inside one of the rooms. They tied another grenade to the door handle, so whoever came looking for her would be killed too.
Then they filmed a propaganda video to show how "good" they were. They gave wounded Negev water and filmed him saying thank you in Arabic.
They had just murdered his mother in front of him.
Imagine that.
Moments later, they took Negev and Eshel to a neighbor’s house. From there, the terrorists kidnapped all three and headed toward Gaza.
On the way, Eshel cried nonstop. His crying bothered the terrorists, who thought he would become a problem later on, so they left all three by the side of the road and continued toward Gaza.
They walked back to Kibbutz Holit and survived.
The truth cannot be erased.
Don't you dare forget.

50 years on, the words of my father, Chaim Herzog, then Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, ring as true today as they did then.
Those who claim the antisemitic lie that “Zionism is racism” deliberately endanger Jews and Israelis everywhere.
Zionism is the national liberation movement of the Jewish people and the foundation of our right to a state and a national home in the Land of Israel.
No motion, in any party or any parliament, will ever change these eternal truths.
On October 7, the Even family - Chen and Rinat, and their four children, Alon, 16, Ido, 14, Tomer, 12, and Nir, 8 - were trapped for hours in their safe room in Kibbutz Be’eri.
Chen managed to eliminate two terrorists who broke into their home using his personal handgun. When the terrorists could not break into the safe room, they set the house on fire. As smoke filled the room, the family had no choice but to escape through the window and hide in the bushes outside. Chen had run out of ammunition. Help never came.
Realizing the terrorists were closing in, Chen and Rinat did the only thing parents could still do - they lay on top of their four children, shielding them with their own bodies. The terrorists found them and opened fire. Chen, Rinat, Alon, and Ido were murdered. Beneath their parents, Tomer and Nir survived.
The two boys ran to a neighbor’s safe room and desperately banged on the window. Adi, who was hiding inside with her five children, opened the window and pulled them in - saving their lives.
Imagine this - two young boys emerging from beneath the bodies of their parents and brothers and running to their neighbor’s window. Their lives will never be the same.
The last two photos were taken by me in Kibbutz Be’eri after the massacre.
It was heartbreaking to hear the horrors recounted by Guy Gilboa Dalal, who returned from the nightmare of two years in brutal captivity by Hamas.
His willingness to speak on camera, expose his wounds, and articulate the incomprehensible cruelty to which he was subjected was an act of extraordinary bravery.
The world must hear his shocking testimony, recognize that Hamas terrorists committed horrific sexual violence, and understand that the systematic and sustained sexual violence that began on October 7 continued thereafter.
Guy, you are teaching us a vital lesson. You are shedding light on the terrible darkness of the tunnels so that the world can understand what really happened there. You are a young man carrying a horrific burden that no one should bear.
Guy, I send you and all your family strength on behalf of the people of Israel. The truth you have shared will open eyes and change hearts. You are not alone.

Welcome to Israel,
@POTUS@realDonaldTrump! 🇮🇱🇺🇸
The Israeli people welcome you with so much love and so much gratitude!
Thank you for all you have done to bring our hostages home! Thank you for your commitment to building a better future of peace in our region! God bless Israel! God bless America!
President Donald J. Trump arrives in Israel and is greeted by @IsraeliPM Netanyahu and Israeli President @Isaac_Herzog, marking the start of a historic day. 🇺🇸🇮🇱
Two years since that dark day, October 7 2023, the day Israel’s soul was torn apart, when Hamas terrorists unleashed unspeakable evil against innocent men, women, and children.
From that darkness rose the courage of our soldiers, the heroism of our citizens, and the unity of a people who refused to break.
We will not rest, we will not be silent, until all 48 hostages are home.
As antisemitism surges like a tidal wave across the world, we stand shoulder to shoulder with Jewish communities everywhere.
Israel remains a beacon of freedom and democracy in a turbulent region, and I truly believe that out of the pain of these years, a new era of cooperation and shared prosperity can yet be born.
From the depths of grief we draw strength; from the ashes of tragedy we build renewal. The story of Israel is the story of resilience, of a people who will never give up, never give in, and never stop believing that light will overcome the darkness.
As President of Israel, I thank our friends and partners around the world for the many heartfelt messages of solidarity and remembrance as we mark two years since October 7, and I extend special thanks to @POTUS@realDonaldTrump for his incredible efforts to bring all our hostages home and bring peace to the Middle East. I pray for the success of his efforts and the success of the negotiating teams.
Am Yisrael Chai.
🕯️ At this very moment, two years ago, Israel faced the darkest day in its history.
On October 7th, Palestinian Hamas jihadists invaded our land — murdering, burning, and kidnapping innocent men, women, and children.
Two years later, we remember October 7th — we remember the victims, we pray for the return of the hostages still held in Gaza, and we stand united against terror. Hamas must be dismantled to end this war.
We remain committed to our values, now more than ever.
Light will rise over darkness.
171 additional provocateurs from the Hamas–Sumud flotilla, including Greta Thunberg, were deported today from Israel to Greece and Slovakia.
The deportees are citizens of Greece, Italy, France, Ireland, Sweden, Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Austria, Luxembourg, Finland, Denmark, Slovakia, Switzerland, Norway, the UK, Serbia, and the United States.
All the legal rights of the participants in this PR stunt were and will continue to be fully upheld.
The lies they are spreading are part of their pre-planned fake news campaign.
The only violent incident came from a Hamas–Sumud provocateur who bit a female medical staff member of Ketsiyot Prison.
Don’t believe the fake news they are spreading.
Attached are photos of Greta and other participants in this PR stunt at the airport before being deported.
Ghent Festival cancelled performance of the Munich philharmonic, because their conductor is Israeli.
Just for being Israeli.
There are words to describe discriminating a person based solely on his origin.
Racism
And in a case of Jew, antisemitism
Please, no more pain. This pain has gone beyond all limits.
Every time I fly from Tel Aviv airport, my son sees his father’s poster. He stops, sits down, gives kisses and endless hugs, and then asks me: “Mama, when will Daddy come home from Gaza?” But even today, I have no answers to any of his questions.
We can’t bear this any longer.
Bring Elkana home. Now 🎗️
— For Reem
— For me
— For humanity
The situation of the hostages is beyond dire. Starved, tortured and abused.
The release of the hostages is not only a moral imperative, it is the key to finding a solution to the situation in Gaza.
Israel is undertaking a dramatic overhaul of the supply of humanitarian aid to Gaza. And I call on the international community: now is the time to say to Hamas, united and unequivocally: we will not talk to you until you release the hostages!
