2 of 2) Then, the following week, I held two online poetry workshops for KS1 and KS2. The rest of the month was spent working on my 2nd book in the 'I Don't Want To' series called 'I Don't Want to Eat That', which will be out in the next few months. Phew!
1 of 2) What a busy month March was. It was World Book Week, which meant visiting 5 schools (Aurora Ryefields SEMH School & Coppice Primary in Derbyshire, Oaklands Primary (virtually), Wheelers Lane Technology College in Birmingham & Phoenix Primary in Liverpool).
2 of 2) For the older children, I also performed some poems from my book 'Conflict' about perfectionism and our inner critic. We had lots of interesting discussions, and the children had some great ideas of how a child could tackle these worries/issues.
1 of 2) In February, I performed at Ellison Primary's 'Worries Wednesday' assemblies (during their Wellbeing Week). I chose my 'I'm Scared' poems from my 'I Don't Want To Go to Bed' book and from my upcoming books 'I Don't Want To Eat That' and 'I Don't Want To Go to School'.

@StMargaretsWR Thank you so much for inviting me to your school. I had an amazing time. The children were really enthusiastic about poetry & wrote some amazing poems themselves. They should all be very proud :)
@amjamesauthor worked with our year 4,5 and 6 children and really inspired them to write their own poetry about.... anything! The children loved exploring different types of poetry and really developed our school value of creativity.
NEW RELEASE: 'I Don't Want To Go to Bed' is a fun collection of poems about bedtime. Avoiding going to bed, story time, teddies, sleepovers, not wanting to get up & lots more. The 1st in the 'I Don't Want To' series

@coquetparkfs Thank you. I'm so glad you liked my animal poems & stories. I loved the animal riddles you wrote. You were also fantastic at pretending to be animals with me
Nursery and Reception really enjoyed the start of #NationalStorytellingWeek , with our visiting author Angela James. They loved listening to her stories about animals and then making up their own riddles.
Year 1 kicked off National Storytelling Week with a workshop with author Angela James. We had a fab time listening to and engaging with fun poetry and stories from Angela’s upcoming book series - ‘Guess the Animal’.
