1/3 Mashallah, 10 members of my family completed the #Hajj #pilgrimage to #Makkah & we have all safely returned home now. It was an amazing journey journey full of spiritual highs and physical challenges, but we were able to complete all our rituals.

Starting my Hajj journey. i will be performing Hajj al-Tamattu which means performing umrah first before subsequently entering ihram for hajj.
The Hajj rituals occur over five days from the 8th to 12th day of Dhu al-Hijjah.

I am blessed & honoured to start my Muslim #pilgrimage to #Makkah, Saudi Arabia (#Hajj) today and will join 2 or 3 million #Muslims in one of the most holiest journeys in our lives where we trace and reintact the footsteps/actions of Prophet #Abraham (Peace be upon him). This has been planned for almost a year.
Please forgive me if I have intentionally or unintentionally hurt you or anyone else as mercy, patience, and forgiveness are key components of this beautiful act of worship.
Muslims are obligated to complete this journey once in their lifetime if they have the means to do so (mentally, physically & financially). I will pray for you all and pray for peace and well-being for the world, an end to suffering, and especially peace and justice for the Palestinians.
I won't be campaigning during this holy period and will return at the end of June. I send best wishes to all my #SNP colleagues who are standing & campaigning. I will join them on my return. Peace & love to all.
