Day 215 (Part 2): This evening we had the absolute pleasure of attending the Eagley Band Christmas Concert with the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Judith Bromley, and hundreds of brass band enthusiasts.
The Band, along with the Community Choir, have a rich history dating back to 1850, making it one of the UK’s oldest brass bands.
Known for their musical excellence, they’ve performed at prestigious venues and competitions, earning respect across the brass band community.
Under the baton of conductor Chris Wormald, a celebrated musician, composer and all round good bloke, the band has achieved new heights, blending tradition with innovation.
His leadership and expertise have further cemented Eagley Band’s reputation as a cornerstone of Bolton’s cultural heritage.
Tonight’s concert was brilliant because it perfectly captured the christmas spirit with a mix of classic carols, heartwarming melodies, and lively performances.
The band’s incredible musicianship created a magical atmosphere that brought the audience together ready for Christmas.

Octopus is investing so much in heat pumps because we want to end our dependence on gas.
