Just finished the new Carrie, an 8-episode series on Prime Video. Mike Flanagan takes a massive risk updating Stephen King’s debut for the social media era, and it totally pays off! Summer H. Howell is phenomenal, and the emotional depth of the supporting cast (and the teachers) makes the tragedy hit even harder. Matthew Lillard is an absolute standout!!! It's addictive, beautifully shot, and an incredibly timely reimagining that is so worth the binge. 9/10.

Google Trends is excellent for tracking broad macro-trends but is highly unreliable for specific, low-volume proper names. If a proper name is famous enough to generate massive, consistent search traffic, Google Trends is incredibly accurate. The problems only arise when you look up niche, local, or obscure proper names.

What if breaking @RealCandaceO isn’t at all about debunking her arguments????

Watchin @RealCandaceO release that video today, that was given to @paleochristcon by none other that @MrsErikaKirk , @RealCandaceO didn’t simply look angry….

To me, she looked Hurt… Devastated…. Betrayed…

And honestly? I think that’s what bothers me the most.

Because it feels like @RealCandaceO is being hurt from every direction — not only by the way TPUSA and @MrsErikaKirk have treated her, but also her having to sit by watching people rewrite Charlie’s relationships, alliances and legacy in real time.

They are partnering with and sharing intimate data with people who, we ALL KNOW KNOW, that Charlie would NEVER have engaged with, let alone platformed…

And then I started wondering…

What if breaking Candace isn’t about defeating her arguments?

What if the way to break her is to attack the one thing she can’t simply debate away:

Her love for Charlie.

Break her heart. Break her spirit. Make her feel erased from the life of someone she loved deeply.

What if that’s the plan…

That’s sure what it FEELS like from where I’m sitting.

And if that is the effect — intentional or otherwise — I understand why she looks devastated.

Because this isn’t just a “political assassination” to her.

Charlie was personal. Charlie was her brother… Her friend…

And finding out who killed him, how and why isn’t a podcast series….

It’s a life’s mission for her…

And as her “cousin” it’s such for me also…

On the way to taking my niece to preschool, we stopped at a light. She asked how the light would know it was our turn. Looking for an easy answer, I said “magic fairies live in the lights and decide when it’s safe.” When I picked her up after school, she barely looked at me. The teacher handed me a colored drawing. That day they had studied primary colors and colored a stoplight (red, yellow, green). My niece had stood up and proudly proclaimed how the fairies made it safe for us to get to school. I never embellished a story for the kids again, and she never lets me forget that I fibbed. 🤥🤪

After everything I’ve watched unfold today, I want to make one thing crystal clear:

I love @RealCandaceO . I wholeheartedly support her.

Not because I believe she’s incapable of being wrong. Not because I think she should never be questioned. And certainly not because I’m willing to abandon my own discernment.

I support her because, time and time again, she has encouraged people to think for themselves, question the narrative, and follow the evidence—even when it’s uncomfortable.

My support has never come with a condition that says, “Candace can do no wrong.”

My condition is much simpler:

Don’t knowingly sit behind that microphone and intentionally lie to or deceive your audience.

If she makes a mistake, I can forgive a mistake.
If she gets something wrong, I can accept a correction.
If she changes her position because new information comes to light, I can respect that.

But if I ever become convinced that she knowingly deceived the people who trusted her?

Then we have a completely different conversation.

Until then, I’m standing right here.

I don’t need to tear her down because other people are having a falling-out.

I don’t need to abandon her because the internet is demanding that I pick a side.

And I damn sure don’t need anyone to tell me who I’m allowed to support.

My loyalty is to truth first. But as long as I believe Candace is sincerely pursuing that truth, she has my support. ❤️
