Researchers say they’ve mimicked the voice of an Egyptian mummy by recreating some of its vocal tract.

What does it sound like to you?
For my project, I am discussing two specific audience groups that my channels reach. How many audience groups have your analysis had? Should I talk about “secret/unintentional” groups? #engl318mu
Hey everyone as I’ve been writing my guide, I’ve decided to do a video presentation. I chose this because I’m studying YouTube videos. Does that makes sense? #engl318mu
@brianna_s2021 You could but I would maybe included this info in your conclusion. Your research question is focused on the other three account :) #engl318mu
@DickerAlyssa Pictures are a wonderful tool!! Have you thought of using other visuals such as videos? I know for my guide, I’m adding short clips so that I can provide much better examples of YouTube channels I’m discussing. #engl318mu
@bdmeyer2 By understanding our audience, I feel that we much more easily express our purpose in the writing. We know exactly who we want to reach, and it can make our content so much better :) #engl318mu
@juliamarie_97 There are definitely a lot more elements to keep in mind. I find that I care a lot more about the design of my work ever since I took this course. #engl318mu
@QueenNiema6 Visuals are a great tool to use!! I’m using a couple throughout my project b/c I know reading isn’t the only way to reach your audience. Visuals help in adding to learning #engl318mu
One thing my tweets and guide share is my limited use of text. On Twitter, this is b/c it’s controlled BUT it has taught me the importance of not overwhelming your audience. This is why I am limited text on my guide. #engl318mu
I feel that by creating my own content, in my own way, makes it so much easier to write. I am already familiar with my data, so by choosing the format, I can organize info better, and truly convey my purpose :) #engl318mu
I decided to make my guide through Prezi. While I have added most of my info to it, I am also planing on having a voice recording overtop. How tos for me, make a lot more sense in video form #engl318mu
One of the ways I’m organizing my work for this project is through a file on google doc. All but one “live” there. (As it “lives” on Prezi) This way keeps me organized and on topic #engl318mu
@KrnjaicMorgan Do you brainstorm or is it more using an outline? I feel that the best way to understand my topic is by creating a least a simple outline. #engl318mu
@SnockDean As a history minor, I write all the time too. It wasn’t until college that I learned the importance of smaller paragraphs. I feel that it makes your writing less overwhelming as well. #engl318mu
@adams_klayton By picking topics we like, I feel like it will make the final project SO much more easier. You get to take part of something you like :) #engl318mu
One element evident in all of my channels is the use of a jingle. This jingle references their overall channel so that the audience clearly knows who constructed the video #engl318mu
One lexical choice TED-ED makes is in the uniqueness of their playlist titles. Instead of just saying “Women in History,” they add a more intriguing title #engl318mu
