We are grateful to MPs for carrying out this piece of work. A short period of absence from work can make a huge difference to mental wellbeing and can be considered a therapeutic intervention in itself.
Doctors and healthcare staff not taking time off when unwell, for example when experiencing feelings of burnout, can lead to periods of extended absence of six months or more. Practitioner Health can help rationalise those feelings of guilt and shame clinicians often face when needing to prioritise their own health.

Honoured beyond words to be giving the opening keynote lecture at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Conference today. I'll be talking about food and commercial determinants of health - there is no audience I would rather be speaking with. #RCPCH25

Thanks @kesleeman . I am now even more concerned about the impact on children given that professionals will be able to speak to children about assisted dying before they are 18. @Tog4ShortLives@RCPCHtweets
