Finally made 1 video after a very long time.
I think it was not bad.
Message to new investors to always have a cash position especially in the stock market.
God please I need a proper big girl job. I love seeing high earning corporate women.
Their dresses, wigs, pants and shirts, bags, accessories and poise.
I’m suited for it oh Lord! You know I’m not lazy and I’m humble enough to learn
I just need one person to believe in me🙏
If you’re serious about investing, learn to read financial statements.
That’s where every real investor finds the truth.
Here’s the simplest breakdown you’ll ever see:
1. Income Statement
This shows how much a company makes, spends, and keeps.
• Revenue is what comes in.
• Expenses are what goes out.
• Net profit is what’s left. That’s the real scorecard of performance.
2.Balance Sheet
This is the company’s financial position at a single point in time.
• Assets are what it owns.
• Liabilities are what it owes.
• Equity is what truly belongs to you as a shareholder after debts are cleared.
3. Cash Flow Statement
This tells you how money actually moves. A company can post profits and still struggle if cash isn’t flowing.
• Operating cash flow comes from business activities.
• Investing cash flow comes from buying or selling assets.
• Financing cash flow comes from loans, dividends, or new capital.
Now the key metrics that separate good companies from great ones:
• P/E Ratio tells you how much investors are paying for every naira earned.
• Profit Margin shows how efficiently sales turn into profit.
• Debt to Equity shows how much leverage the company is carrying.
• ROE shows how well management turns your investment into results.
In simple terms:
• The Income Statement shows performance.
• The Balance Sheet shows strength.
• The Cash Flow Statement shows sustainability.
Master these three and you’ll stop guessing which companies to invest in. You’ll start knowing.
Not everyone should invest in stocks.
If you're a low-risk investor, protecting your capital is often more important than chasing the highest possible returns.
The Nigerian stock market can deliver impressive gains over time, but it also comes with price swings. Some years are excellent. Others can test your patience.
That's where @Risevest Fixed Income comes in.
It is designed for people who want:
• Predictable returns
• Lower risk than equities
• Capital preservation
• A place to grow money without worrying about daily market fluctuations
If your priority is certainty over speculation, fixed income deserves a place in your portfolio.
A good investor doesn't put every naira into one asset class. They match their investments to their goals and their risk tolerance.
This post is for educational purposes only and is not financial advice.
If your organization, school, or workplace values financial literacy, I’m available to speak and educate.
We need more people earning well, investing consistently, and putting their money to work.
I’m also working on something for people looking to increase their income and improve their careers. The goal is to help more people move up financially and become investors.
Hopefully, this leads to more collaborations and a bigger impact.
One life hack I recommend is this:
Have a financially literate friend in your life.
Someone who truly understands the professional and economic side of money.
Someone who can read and interpret financial documents.
Someone who understands investment strategies across financial instruments.
The people around you influence how you think about money, risk, debt, saving, and investing.
Good financial habits are often caught, not taught.
There is no better time to be an investor as a Nigerian and have proper diversification.
I don’t think people fully grasp the opportunities we have right now. The fact that someone in Ikorodu can download an App like @investbamboo and be able to invest in the Nigeria stock market and the US market is just too amazing.
Just take yourself back 10 years ago, these sort of opportunities are non existence to ordinary people.
We have really come a long way.
