Syria and the Great Deception…

Western countries and their allies have supported the Syrian opposition against Bashar al-Assad since 2011. During this period, Turkey entered the scene under the pretext of a threat to its national security — a baseless claim that time has proven to be false.
Western nations intervened under the guise of promoting freedom and democracy, aiming to eliminate the criminal regime of Bashar al-Assad and bring Syria to a democratic political system that would achieve stability. Any researcher can revisit the statements of those countries to justify their intervention — even Obama himself justified supplying the Syrian opposition with TOW missiles by saying it would accelerate Syria’s stability and transition to democracy.
Today, the West must provide an account, especially after the massacres in the coastal region committed by the new Jolani regime were revealed, exposing a shocking number of victims and hundreds of villages reduced to rubble by the killing machine Jolani was able to assemble through jihadist calls from mosque preachers. Armed convoys of "mujahideen" roamed Alawite towns and villages, spreading murder, theft, and kidnapping.
The West must now present its reckoning to the Syrian people, after its policies have brought Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS to power in Syria — and today it is even helping entrench the foundations of this "civilized democratic free regime" that hails from the Middle Ages. This reckoning must also be presented to Western taxpayers: Should the American citizen really be paying for TOW missiles supplied to al-Qaeda leaders? Why didn’t these countries directly intervene to remove Bashar al-Assad in a deliberate manner and replace him with a fully empowered presidential council to ensure a smooth political transition? Must the Syrian people be punished twice — once by Assad’s dictatorship, and once by an Islamist terrorist regime?
We understand the intersection of geopolitical interests of major powers, but no one can believe that handing Syria over to an al-Qaeda regime serves the interests of any major country — especially not the West. Is the West now preparing for a new wave of migration from the Middle East?
I don't know how pleased Tony Blair is today as he watches the results of his institute's work in Syria: a river of blood flowing from one of the most beautiful parts of the world — the Syrian coast — to the Mediterranean. This is the same people who gave humanity its first alphabet, and Blair has returned the favor by gifting them the Jolani regime to spread murder and injustice.
I don’t know what kind of vampires rule the major powers, but this strange thirst for blood is both puzzling and alarming. Why can they only achieve their goals through bloodshed?
Today, a forced demographic change is being implemented in the Syrian coast. The Alawite community is being prevented from registering their newborns, and the entire civil registry has been placed under Turkish control. Real changes are happening day and night in birth and death records — all under the eyes of UN-affiliated human rights organizations, which recently praised, in one of their sessions, the “measures” taken by the Syrian government (led by Abu Mohammad al-Julani, who is on terrorist watchlists and Interpol warrants).
It is a vile and massive deception, woven against the people of the West, the Syrian people, and within the framework of a new world order taking shape at the expense of the innocent.

Here’s the context of what sparked the violence in Syria and why the media framing is wrong:

Syrian translators who we work with told us that the media framing of this massacre as Assad loyalists vs. new government is not at all accurate.

The people targeted belong to various minority groups including Christians and Alawites who live in the coastal towns. Yes this happens to be the same Muslim minority sect that Assad belongs to. The attackers though did not discriminate between innocent Alawites, killing women and children too.

The Alawites are often not considered “real” Muslims - just a deviant sect.

I am told that this recent spate of events started when HTS police went to the Alawite village in Lattakia to arrest someone who was accused of writing negative posts online against Jolani's government.

They started kicking the accused and mistreated him which made the villigers furious. The villagers fought back and it all broke out from there.

This single incident capped off three months of ongoing injustice and mistreatment at the hands of HTS.

This is a group that pushes women to wear the burka (which the Alawites don’t do) and tried to forcefully convert them to the "real" Islam (Sunni). As it is Ramadan now, the Alawites stick out like a sore thumb because fasting for them is optional and HTS has been hounding and harassing anyone who isn’t fasting.

Since coming into power, thousands have been kicked out of their jobs by HTS. Alawites are not permitted to join the new police or army just because of their identity. So all of this resentment has been brewing for a while.

This is the group that the Western media such as the BBC lauded as reformers and moderates. Be skeptical of media framing of any stories coming out of Syria because HTS is backed by Qatar, i.e. Al Jazeera.
